Ball Size Guide
- Size 3 (this product) — Recommended for players aged 6–9 and all-level solo skill work
- Size 4 — Ages 9–12
- Size 5 — Ages 13 and up / adult standard
Setup: Step-by-Step
- Attach the cord — Loop the included elastic cord through the ball's connector. Adjust cord length so the ball hangs at knee height when you stand upright.
- Set your distance — Stand with your dominant foot roughly 1–1.5 ft (30–45 cm) from the ball's resting position. This gives a controlled strike zone for most drills.
- Angle your stance — Stand at a slight angle (about 45°) to the ball, shoulder-width apart. This mimics a natural striking posture and helps develop clean contact.
- Anchor the cord — Secure the cord end to a fixed point: tie to a fence post, loop around a sturdy pole, or use the included peg for soft ground. Make sure the anchor holds steady under repeated kicks — a loose anchor disrupts rebound rhythm.
- Check rebound clearance — After anchoring, give one light test kick. The ball should return smoothly to your strike zone. Shorten the cord if the rebound overshoots; lengthen if it falls short.
3 Starter Drills
Drill 1 — Dominant Foot Lock-In (5 min)
Strike the ball 20 times with your dominant foot using the inside of your foot. Focus on clean, flat contact each rep. Rest 30 seconds. Repeat 3 rounds.
Drill 2 — Two-Foot Alternation (5 min)
Alternate left and right foot strikes, aiming for a steady rhythm. Start slow — accuracy beats speed here. Build to a faster tempo over 3 rounds of 20 alternating touches.
Drill 3 — Cognitive Quick-Touch (5 min)
Have a coach or training partner call out "left" or "right" randomly while you strike. React to each call. This trains decision speed alongside touch quality — a core SenseBall benefit.
💡 Pro tip: Players commonly ask about cone spacing for passing lanes — when combining SenseBall with cone drills, place cones 3–5 ft (1–1.5 m) apart for tight touch work, or 6–10 ft (2–3 m) apart for longer passing rhythm drills.
